Lyric Genie Reminds You Before the Big Day

Lyric Genie Reminds You Before the Big Day

You do not forget the date. You remember it on the Tuesday before, when there is still time to order a card and not much else.

It happens with the personal ones, your mom’s birthday or your anniversary, and it happens just as reliably with the ones printed on every calendar in the country. Halloween is comfortably far away right up until it is on Friday.

That gap, between remembering and having room to do something about it, is where most song ideas quietly die. The idea shows up, it is a genuinely good one, and it shows up four days too late.

Lyric Genie now saves the dates you write songs for, and reminds you before they arrive.

Lyric Genie is a chat-based tool that turns your song ideas into structured lyrics ready for music generators like Suno. Describe the occasion, who it is for, and the moments you want to capture at lyric-genie.com/chat, and you get complete verses, a chorus, a title, and style prompts in under 10 minutes. What is new is that the Genie now keeps track of when you are going to need them.

The Genie Notices the Date

When you start a song for “my mom’s birthday,” “our anniversary,” or “our Halloween party,” Lyric Genie recognizes that you have mentioned a date that comes back every year. A small card appears under its reply offering to save it, with three options: Save, Not now, or Maybe later.

Nothing about writing changes. Tap Save and the date goes on your calendar. Dismiss it and the conversation carries on exactly as it always has.

My Occasions

My Occasions is a calendar of the dates you write for. Click a day, give it a name, and it is saved.

Anything that comes around again can go on it. Birthdays and anniversaries, Halloween and Christmas and Valentine’s Day, Diwali or Eid or whatever your family actually gathers for, the first day of school, the anniversary of the day you adopted the dog. The calendar starts empty, so it holds the occasions you mark rather than a preloaded list of ones you do not.

That last category is worth saying out loud. A date does not have to be on anyone else’s calendar to deserve a song.

Saving a date and getting reminders needs an account. If you are not signed in yet, pick the date anyway. We hold onto it and move it into your account the moment you sign in, so you are not forced through a sign-up form in the middle of doing something.

Two Emails, Then Nothing

Each saved occasion sends exactly two reminders. One lands 14 days before, the other 7 days before.

Two weeks is the useful one. It is enough time to write the lyrics, generate the track, listen to it properly, decide the second verse is not right, and fix it. The one-week email exists because you will read the first one on your phone, think “oh good, I have loads of time,” and then not think about it again.

That is the whole volume. Two emails per date. Remove a date from your calendar and its reminders stop with it.

Why Early Beats On Time

Nearly every song written in Lyric Genie is for a specific day and the specific people who show up on it, and the difference between a good one and a great one is almost never the tool. It is how much time the writer had to get specific.

A song written in a panic ends up being about the occasion in general. A song written with two weeks in hand ends up being about your version of it, because there was room to remember the way she answers the phone, or the summer the car broke down, or the thing your family has said to each other every October for fifteen years without ever explaining it to anyone else. Those details are what make people go quiet when they hear it. They rarely arrive on the first try, and they never arrive the night before.

If you want to see what that looks like for one occasion end to end, our guide to personalized anniversary songs walks through the whole process.

Put the Next One on the Calendar

Think of the next date you would want a song for, whoever it is for and whatever it is called. Adding it takes about ten seconds, and it buys you a two week head start on a song you were probably going to want to write anyway.
